Students are mentored by NVA Ensemble Member Justin Lang, a professional actor and teacher and who created and runs NVA’s award-winning THE SHAKESPEARE NETWORK education and outreach program. Justin aims to educate, enrich and equip students with the skills and tools used for the highest level of performing. Students start at the beginning with warm ups and physical exercises, then move into textual analysis and table work for comprehension of Elizabethan literature and devices, and finish with a final performance, which is open to the public.

“The Junior Ensemble has given me opportunities of a lifetime to grow in so many ways: as an actor, as an artist and as a person. I have been given a new-found appreciation and love for Shakespeare, for the arts. More importantly, I have been given a place where I can only continue to grow.”
