Art Foundry

A foundry is a place where things are forged, made and created. It is a place where things begin as raw materials and are transformed into something else, which is the basis of all art. The Art Foundry has become a unique, interesting and exciting place to create and view art and the process of making art. The Art Foundry was established in August of 2009 by New Village Arts Theatre, already known as the artistic heart of the Carlsbad Village for its risk-taking, award-winning professional theatre. Over the course of one short year The Art Foundry has doubled from the original 6 working artists’ studios to include 12 studios with 18 artists in residence.
